Installing Secugen Biometric Reader

These are the steps to follow when installing the SecuGen fingerprint scanner on your computer. Ensure the fingerprint scanner is properly connected to your computer before proceeding.

Steps

1. Download Required Files
   • Download the following files as .zip from the link below:
     • SecuBSP SDK Pro for Windows v1.49
   • • wbf_driver_2.5.0

2. Extract Files
   • Extract the downloaded files to the following locations:
     
3. Install SecuBSP SDK
   • Open the SecuBSP SDK Pro for Windows v1.49 folder.
   • Right-click on setup.exe and select Run as Administrator.
     
4. Update Device Drivers
   • Open Device Manager on your computer.
   • Locate the SecuGen device under Other Devices.
   • Right-click on the SecuGen device and select Update Driver.
   • In the pop-up window, choose Browse my computer for drivers.
   • Navigate to D:\cosmopawa\wbf_driver_2.5.0 and select the wbf_driver_2.5.0 file to update.
     
5. Copy DLL Files
   • Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SecuGen\ and copy all .dll files.
   • Paste these files into the appropriate locations based on where you want to use the fingerprint scanner:
     1. For PawaPOS Front Office: Paste into C:\Program Files (x86)\PawaPOS FO\.
     2. For PawaPOS Back Office: Paste into C:\Program Files (x86)\PawaPOS BO\.
        
6. Test the Scanner
   • Verify the SecuGen fingerprint scanner is working correctly.
